The Rotary Club of Collingwood celebrated its 39th Anniversary on Oct 14th with a decorated cake. Long time Rotarian, Dr. Don Paul was given the honour of cutting the cake.

The Rotary Club of Collingwood held its quarterly "Fireside Meeting" at the Collingwood Ski Club on Tuesday, September 9th. The Club Visioning Committee made their presentation to the membership regarding the ongoing 5 year vision for our club. The committee received excellent input from the members and further work will be done before a final program will be put in place over the next few months.

The Rotary Club of Collingwood came together in great numbers last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to work on its annual Rotary Barrels Fundraiser. Rotary members showed up en mass and had the cutting, tagging, wrapping and stacking done by Wednesday afternoon! Regretfully, this will be the last year for this fundraiser and the Rotary Club of Collingwood would like to take this opportunity to thank Canadian Mist for their years of unwavering support of this worthwhile project. Thank you Canadian Mist from your Rotary Club of Collingwood!

The Rotary Club of Collingwood held it's Third Annual Scotch Nosing and Noshing event on Thursday, May 15th at the Blue Mountain Golf Club. It was a "boistrous" affair and I am confident that all in attendance had a fantastic evening out! The General and Marine Hospital Foundation is the beneficiary of the proceeds of this event, which by all measures was a huge success. Thank you to the Scotch Nosing Committee!

The Rotary Club of Collingwood and E3 Community Services put on another extremely successful golf fundraiser at Oslerbrook Golf Club. The weather was excellent and all in attendance had a great day on the course. In excess of $20,000 was raised. Thank you to Mike Jackson and his golf committee for a job very well done.

Brian and Wendy Hickey were honoured with Paul Harris Fellowships-Level 8 at the Changeover Dinner on June 24th at the Blue Mountain Golf Club. Brian and Wendy contributed to a quality future for the unprivileged children in Africa and their vision to contribute to make dreams real is really to be appreciated.
On behalf of all the 10 000 Children who are currently involved in the programme, I wish to say THANK YOU
